- Note: This hose has a 1/4 inch male inverted flare end. It is NOT compatible with 1/4 inch NPT fittings.
When to Replace
- Visible damage to the hose, including cracks, abrasions, cuts, or worn spots in the stainless steel braiding.
- The hose has become excessively stiff or brittle.
- Leaks are detected at fittings or along the hose length (use soapy water to test).
- The integrated pressure gauge is broken, inaccurate, or unreadable.
Installation Tips
- Ensure the propane tank service valve is fully closed before installation.
- Hand-tighten the QCC1 nut onto the propane tank valve until secure.
- Apply the included thread seal tape to the male inverted flare threads before connecting to the regulator.
- Use an appropriate wrench to tighten the 1/4 inch inverted flare fitting onto the regulator. Do not over-tighten.
- After connecting both ends, slowly open the tank valve and check all connections for leaks with a soapy water solution. Bubbles indicate a leak.
