When to Replace

• A single, audible click is heard, but the starter motor does not engage.
• The starter motor does not operate when the start button is pressed, assuming a fully charged battery.
• Intermittent starting, where the engine cranks on some attempts but not others.
• The starter motor continues to run after the engine has started.

Installation Tips

• Disconnect the negative battery terminal before beginning work.
• Locate the original solenoid and note the position of all wires before disconnecting.
• Install the new solenoid, ensuring the large battery and starter cables are securely fastened to the correct posts.
• Reconnect the small control wire(s) to the new solenoid.
• Securely mount the new solenoid in the original location.
• Reconnect the negative battery terminal and test the starting system.
